Post A thought to reduce lag [Could be rubbish, or revolutionary]
Ok, so I noticed, that the more zoomed out a camera is, the more graphics/textures it needs to show/loaded. So I thought, if there was a way to.. in a way... cut out the unnecessary graphics that you arent using or in a scene, visually seeing. So when you actually get in visual range, THEN it will process the graphics and textures.


So in theory, we wont need to load/generate an entire map, but JUST what is in your visual range. Reducing processing by, perhaps 500%

So in deeper theory, the more you zoom in, the better your computer can cope with itself.

Again, I have no idea if even the basis of my thought is valid in any form. Since I have little, to zero knowledge about this matter.

if they made the red enemy circles appear on your radar from really far away like in c1 id be happy to play even fully zoomed in

Already done this way. The textures/models still have to be loaded (because loading is slow and generally can't be done on the spot), but only visible objects are being rendered/drawn

I also had an idea of the server loading the textures, then in a way stream it to you like a video, so the background wont kill your computer.

But I have a feeling that the server would never be able to handle that.
