has anybody here played EVE online? i did the free trail for 2 days and HATED IT due to the fact of the ships are so slow and piloting sucks. no augs either. but the one thing i liked is the multiple targeting. if you were being attaked by 2 enemies and you had 2 weapons equipped, you could shoot both enemies.



This could be integrated into the MF skill. MF is a little underpowered as of late (i think) because sniper is just as good and needs less elec/ space.
of maybe JUST for capitol ships.

It was a suggestion but got a no due to it being possibly broken.

hm... i could imagine it being broken in a big uber fite, but for it to work you would need traking weaps. traking weapsare NOT as good as no traking. this could take a lil away, and you still do the same DPS, just evenly distributed.

In EVE the weapon mounts are not static for the lasers, they can shoot at anything around the ship. However in SS, its slightly different. Lasers have a certain ammount of tracking which means for this to work, both enemies will have to be within tracking range. And for stuff like DWO's, its just useless.

Something that would be cool is different weapon mounts. IF anyone has played Masters of Orion 3, they might know what im talking about. A spaceship doesnt always need to shoot forward, you could pretty much stick a laser anywhere. So it may be an idea that in clinet2/3 that when people buy a weapon that they can set which way it faces. The ammount of spinal mounts, spining mounts or front facing mounts depends entirely on the ship.

this could be a trituary mf skill perhaps but otherewise I would like to see this implemented (hvaeing 1 weapon that shoots 2 targets) but its a special weapon, not a regualr one

ya- a special skill. like u need 1 lvl of MF for each lvl of it, and it lets u target 1 extra thing and shoot it with a different weap per lvl

Not something that fits with this kind of game if you ask me. Prolly hell to program too.

oo- just tot of dat. ouch... think of the lag of people firing multiple bullets. if the bullets all went different ways...

I dont get why so many people play EVE...must be either radiation from the sun or for its looks.

Same as Voom... Don't think it fits.

As for your view on EVE... Play a bit longer, and you'll find there's plenty of modding to do with items like augs, much more than in SS. You'll find fast ships too, you'll find that everything is better than in SS, apart from the 'ss soul'. Somehow, SS is crappy, but it's still much more fun than EVE imo.

EVE is great in every way except for one, the controls are automated, that sucks majorly.

i dont like the skills system either, and yeah, if the controls just wherent like that
