How to make a really bad start in a new universe...
1. Refuse invites from major teams so that you're working alone.
2. Create a station building slave ship... something like a mastiff that can hold all your expensive gear.
3. when the new uni appears, diligently scout out the position you want, then prepare to build your first stations.
4. Place the stations and set your massive, slow (and did I mention expensive?) slave travelling to it to dock.
5. Foolishly forget to watch over the slave with 90% of your best/rarest station building kit, and return to it just too late to kill the voltages that were attacking it.
6. Swear.
7. Reorganise, end up building a somewhat worse base before you log off.
8. When you come to log back on, realise that your account has run out, and use a sub-20 char instead.
9. Take the lowbie to your station to equip the kit you were building over night, and unequip your old energy source, BEFORE remembering that this character doesn't have the Electrical Engineering skill either to equip the new energy or re-equip the old.
10. Swear again, louder.
If you feel that you could take all of the above steps, ask to join my team, you'll fit right in...

AND THEN:
watch your station run out of rations because your main char left it with enough grub to last it overnight...
PLEASE ADUM VERIFY MY PAYPAL, I'll be loyal to you for ever...

there are many many more worse off than you. I am one person, though I have recovered already. I lost a trade ship with all of my best items and augs, total value reaching very high in the hundreds of milltions.
