Post DS+ Aura/SSS?
I know that plus ships are more for the trophy value, but at the moment there is only one high tier SD/Seer ship, which is the Panther. So to combat this, the Death Striker+ should be given some sort of aura or SSS to make it at least close to the Panther.

Ideas:
Aura1 - Applies a large Damage bonus to the Death Striker+ if an enemy comes within 500 distance

SSS1 - Decreases Range and increases Damage for 5 seconds, then applies +50% elec for 5 seconds afterwards

Aura2 - Pulsing aura that applies multiple stacks of large fires to all enemies in a radius.


SSS2 - Warps you to any target within 1k range, increases critical hit chance and crit damage for 5 seconds, then warps you back to your previous location.

Thoughts?

Each of these thorax weapons gives -60% speed for maybe 10 seconds or so. Imagine it as a sort of wrestling ring that takes a heavy toll on the target's speed if they try to escape.
This and the other -speed idea would be the kiss of death in SD PvP. This one is way overpowered and really useless in PvAI.

The speed debuffs could be changed. For example the pulsing aura should probably be 1 second long or even shorter. and it must also be remembered that the Silent Death decreases range by a nice amount.

But yeah, the first SSS is probably the most balanced.

The DS is a guerilla type ship moreso than other Light Fighters. It fits the playstyle pretty well.

Although that would be very easy to do and probably solve this, it isn't very fun.

Also, I trimmed one of the SSS and edited the others. The aura that applies Large Fires may be a bit OP in stealth combat, but if balance demands they could be critical fires then I wouldn't argue.

Overly Elaborate suggestions have a very low chance of ever being added, unless theres a dev on the line that thinks it'd help his SS Dev career (Easter) :roll:


A simple solution tends to be added within next patch.
