Re: reflectivity
paxiprime wrote: If you think about it a seer should get 0% reflectivity as a class in almost any ship, because they are using a cloak that puts them in another dimention, like the sodan in stargate using a cloak making them "out of phase matter". Reflectivity doesn't effect out of phase matter but they can still interact with real world objects (using weapons).
Really a seer should only be able to be collision coded with non-eth weapons and should never be seen when cloaked. But since no one is going to agree with that, how about making it so that a seer is only ever seen right after shooting there weapon.
Which includes high vis gals! So you're basing your argument on how you imagine a cloak works? Nice.

Re: reflectivity
No I was only talking about a seers cloak, essentially they are the only class in game that is supposed to be low vis, and thus there theoretical cloak should work in a different way than other classes cloak.
Was just trying to be creative with my example lol. The only thing this would change is that seers wouldnt get added viability from suns, only there gear.

Re: reflectivity
Not that I'm complaining or anything, but I gave my slave 3 athena+ augs and they still barely reacted when shot by a panther seer.
I don't really think that seers need to be any stealthier in normal galaxies...
If it's such a huge problem maybe some kind of item limiting effect of these suns would be in order.

Re: reflectivity
A diffuser with -reflectivity and 0% fail rate could work.

If you want extreme stealth, you're either going to sacrifice what little "conventional" defenses you have, or your ability to deal extreme damage. I'm not saying negate these things, I'm saying reduce. Add to one side, take from another.

Re: reflectivity
All that means is you have to carry 2 OL's around and hotkey them.
