Post Infernoes.
Tone down the stupid Super Missiles maybe? Them being very resistant all three of my damage types is quite annoying, but those missiles hurt quite a bit, and puts some sort of mega fire on me alt, which oddly enough, does the damage damage as the missiles themselves, or more.

Just two Infernoes. DG's have like eight?

Level 180 alt too. While I am filling the alt with good gear, I can't help to notice that if I'm having these problems, what would happen for a REAL low level player?

IMO the fastest way to level up in game if your starting from nothing, low vis sniper.

I'm just playing to have fun with the various classes. Not having much fun with lack of firepower or the ability to be killed too easily with OP AI's.

I play SD and don't think infernos have every even hit me with their missiles. Then again, I am SD, so...

If infernoes are not nerfed, then they need a level beef, so noobs will know not to attack them.

Seriously, they are like EF Ai. Low level and massively painful to kill.

And auto aggro against low level players, so even a level beef won't help.

The missiles themselves, and the size of the fire have already been nerfed once.

Jeff is against me increasing the charge time on the superitems [including ghost torpedoes, which are back to 1 / 10 seconds] but I agree that at the moment they're a little powerful.


I'll look into it again, and suggest nerfs.

My problem with them is capping them. killing these is easy if you're kiting them at max range with good speed aka hotrod+ to have time to target the missiles or outright outrun them.. I been pretty much classless equipped with fire cannon on just about every mob and before that, an ice sludger (dot).. and i'm not even at 180.. even faster when you can multifire as a zerker.

I been playing around with the different play styles as well.. basically if you can fit at least drone deploy 3, ion cannon / magic attack pretty much can cover most of the ai around w1 until your weapon level dps can catch up.
basically spending 12 skill points can probably last you well into 200 without upgrading any of your weapons.

I suggest you alter your strategy depending on the type of ai you are up against if you're having problems... one of them being wait on top of warp for them to fire the super.. warp out warp back in.. (their missiles instant destruct) you now have a 25 second head start or whatever cooldown sec+ % to kill them before the next salvo goes off.

fire extinguisher does help a little.. if you don't already have it equipped.
if anything.. if you don't want to touch on the missiles super cooldown or nerf the missiles since doing so also nerfs the player side/ etc... you could at least buff the extinguisher so it removes the dot flames faster.

or equip the inferno/+ AI with an item that gives them a -% rad/other damage type resist to offset difficulties. <3

yay jeff for putting super topedos back to 10.. I haven't leveled my seer so didn't notice the revert. :)

Ghostships needs to be toned down a ton. Those torps are ridiculous at their level.
