Can we have hyperlinks enabled in team, squad, pm chats where the player can click on the hyperlink and it would load up the web page. This will make people who take the game too seriously redirect all there team minions to certain team politic forum pages!

This can done by typing out the fill address in the chat e.g. http://www.starsonata.com

Also make this work on team messages so team members can click the team webpage, forum, w/e to make it easier.

Also include: copy, paste functionality

We have copy and paste from the text entry currently.

I am very weary to add hyperlinks. It seems like it would encourage Spamming, and that's not something I want to encourage.

We are looking at adding automatic links that can be created in chat on peoples names to PM them and on item names to get a tooltip of its stats.

Sounds good! Any chance of a right-click menu giving other player-relevant options also? Off the top of my head: PM, friend, block, war.



That might be abused to get stats on items no one has built yet or items someone does not want to give the stats out on. Any idea how to combat that?

Yeah, I don't know, really. I think either we add that feature and let everyone get the stats on anything, or else we don't add the feature. I'm still totally undecided if it's something we should do or not.

My two cents:

The item stats tooltip sounds like a cool feature but I don't think there's really a place for it in the game. Maybe you could support URLs exclusively for the starsonata domain? That would let people link forum posts and wiki pages.

Please do implement clickable player names for functions like PM, Ignore, and even Moderator commands.

I was aiming towards just team and pms for hyper-links and perhaps squads~
