I get the feeling that it's already a decent ship, just people expect a bit more than fine for a 200b+ investment, especially since a dread can be built for about, oh, 1/200th that much.

Poseidon Wave - Amazing inbuilts, normal amount of augmenter slots
Ares War Chariot - Amazing inbuilt drone, normal amount of augmenter slots
Hephaestus Machine - Terrible inbuilt weapon, more augmenter slots than expected - along with insanely high inbuilt electricity
Zeus Throne - Terrible inbuilt fighter generator, normal amount of augmenter slots

Yes, with T21 augmenters, and when proper T21 fighters and T21 aura generators comes out then it will be a fine ship. But it is still severely underpowered for FCs when they are going to choose their ultimate overall FC ship. I would actually argue that I expect to see more people choose PBF FCs for squad play and runs over a Zeus Throne.

The PBF is better balanced for solo and squad game play. Any FC can dump on some auras and be suitable for team play..since they are used primarily for their auras anyway in a squad environment for ubers But they can actually do a lot more damage than a ZT so they are way nicer to have on a run then a ZT.

PBF is great for PvP as well.

Imo, PBF should be the archetype for Gunner ships.

And people wonder why we think the ZT's design stats need to be revisited?

The red photon ships are better balanced, the paxian battle frigate is better balanced and something you can buy from an AI station is apparently more effective than a 200bil T21 capitalship.

That'd be cool. still love to see something else done with the ZT too. Being able to launch 12 moderately squishy fighters every 6 minutes looks impressive as hell. (until someone actually shoots em..)

There an official reason that makes sense as to why the ship sucks so bad for its cost and difficulty? I know I have been persistent, But that is the only way to keep people looking at it if they are busy, as busy people tend to get sidetracked and forget sometimes. And I do not mean to be an ornery pain in the ass... But this is no different then when the assault behemoth was shit. Though at least that was changed in ways that made sense and worked.
