Ok, from lvls 0-100 the best thing to do is get drone deployment up to 7 and drone master skill up to 1, this is so you can deploy at least 4 drones.

At first start out with a paximinus, then move onto a ros., then try to get your self a pax chrismatica or prismatica, and finally get your self a eff, this should get you to lvl 250. Get most your skills up to 10, but then just worry about getting your DM skill up to 10...

The way you should setup your ship is for big energy so you can easily redeploy drones, and big shield banks, don't worry about speed.

For example a good setup would be...
Mzungu Armorite
Mzungu Bang
Sponge Charger
4 mining drones
revealer +

that's all you will really need until the higher levels...

I'd like to say that any Engineer who uses an EFF that gets his hands on a Pax Cele will say that the PC beats the snot out of the EFF as an Engineer ship.

The OS rosfire is sexier than the PC. Energy is nice.

The old Parsley is actually pretty good. I used one until lvl 800 way back when, before i built my first pax. Best all-around droner ship imo? Pax+

I stuck a Pax Celestica on a level 48 alt... It owned, I could take down SBB's solo with that shit.

And that was without Drone augs.
