Lowbie seers aren't that hard, I did it. Kaspar+ with a mzungu pulse shotgun at first, then something else I am forgetting, then faranji stinger.
Stinger is a bit pricey. Suadara and Spearhead work great for a much smaller price. But all my Seer experience is based on the old aug stacking and old gear stats. My Suadara would still work exactly the same for the most part. My Spearhead would be a bit more visible but that would be easy to knockdown with some lower vis gear or a better cloak (seriously, until you got to higher levels, an Uncirculator+ was just as good as a higher level one but smaller, less elec, and a much better price tag). I can and have killed cap ships in my PvP range using an AI station weapon and ship below tech 12.
Here are the basics as per the old rules.
~Seer is a very gear and skill dependent class. Having better gear can make up for skill and having better gear can make up for skill.
~Find low vis gear. Bule Bionic Wall did wonder's for me for a shield.
~Find small gear. Any ship with low vis isn't big.
~Find gear with +damage. Infernal energy is a great low level Seer energy.
~DPS on you weapon doesn't matter. Better to have a really big and really slow gun. Shotguns and pulses are your friend.
~Learn to use tweaks. An electron cloud can save your ass against a radar augged ship.
~Watch your vis. Don't be afraid to experiment to see how far away a ship can see you at a certain visibility.
I would love to try out the new augs and gear but I don't really have the time to be playing now. If anyone really wants a more in depth guide, I can do one later but it might be moot with the new rules.
