if it was controlled then this type of bullshit wouldnt happen, admins could keep track of who owns what accounts if sales were public

How could the admins help in this situation other than fixing the fucking font ingame? Scamming isn't illegal.

I love the font, but there really does need to be some way to differentiate common letters (capital I versus lowercase l).

Again, unless you are going to ban the accounts that change IP address, what does associating an IP address to a character actually do? The admins shouldn't be telling players who owns what accounts.

IP addresses change all of the time as a result of receiving a dynamic IP from your ISP or connecting on a different network; associating accounts with IP would be worthless and a huge pain for everyone.

There is no reason to police by IP, no possibly way to police by IP, and it would simply frustrate users and admins alike.

What is the problem?

The problems stated by goett are easily registered.

1.Goett doesn't like that fact that you can buy or obtain or have the password of the Emp account, and get instant access to a special place.

2.Goett doesn't like the idea of being able to buy or obtain accounts from another for the prime purpose of scamming.


IP logs for each account would be good, I hope.

For Emp Club, Bobbo's idea of making the club be in a separate galaxy and each emp has 2month decay keys seems to be the best idea.

Ip logs wouldn't work because of dynamic Ip as Denux stated

all they need to do is facillitate it, if they RUN the buying and selling of accounts (by working as a middleman) then they can keep track of who buys what and who sells what, if they organise the payment through the SS accounts it will also provide a big incentive to trade accounts officially rather than off the record, since it will be much safer, and as i said before

THE ADMINS WOULD KNOW WHO OWNED WHAT. they could probably even tax a share of the money paid for each account if they wanted...

it would also work well for attracting new players who dont want to have to go through the early game (providing a GG source for more experienced players)


the suppression of account buying/selling is as foolish as the war on drugs... isnt it better to have it happen in a controlled enviroment where you know what is going on rather than out of your view where you cant do ANYTHING to mitigate the negative effects of account trading
