Spelling and grammar nazis usually are human and make mistakes like everyone else. Some people make a massive effort to ensure their written word is extremely well done, but they are not perfect and to criticise other people's mistakes when it's clear what they mean is quite stupid to say the least. I mean sure, if someone writes something that is an ordeal to read then by all means, criticise that person for spawning a literary abomination that makes little sense and is phrased so badly it could mean 5 things, well that's different. But when it's clear what they mean and you're picking holes, it's a waste of time, petty and it reflects badly that you will not tolerate errors that even you make. As far people who'd align themselves as nazis politically, well that's a can of worms most forum admin would rather wasn't tipped out on their boards. Suffice to say most people can pick holes in the ideology and in many cases from a variety of angles and usually, using good logical arguements or consistent ethics and good judgements of humanity. |
