Big enemies
Like Emperor... you can shoot him with a mag and even if it doesn't reach the ship.. once it hits the area of targeting it will disappear and hit ..
i know its been like this for ages but why :/

Re: Big enemies
He's saying that the mask for the Emperor's ship is a lot bigger than the actual graphic. I can't think of any other particularly obvious example though.

Re: Big enemies
My RP carrier is like that too, pretty sure someone just copy+paste'd the EF dread one onto it.

Re: Big enemies
Basically, all ship images are square. Bigger ships are often long and skinny, so they don't cover extra blank area on either side.

Ship size is essentially a diameter that determines how far from the center of your ship you can be hit from. I.E. If I have 600 range and I fire at a ship with a radius of 200, I can hit it from 800 away. Squares have no radius or diameter.

Re: Big enemies
Does it really matter? Perhaps their size means they have to generate sheilds to cover more space - It's easier to shield 1 large object than to calculate the shield requirements to cover the ship in a steamlined fashion. Maybe is larger ships they use fighters and have larger shields to accommodate for that...
Who cares? It'd only make a difference if we could see any noticable effects on the ship(scorch marks etc..). Your shots will have to travel less distance - Booya?
