Post This question has been on my mind for a long time; DG's
As far as design intent goes, were they intended to be difficult solo endeavors, 2 man endeavors, and in the mind of devs, did you guys plan on people killing things around their lvl or was it planned from the start that people would be killing dgs +1k of their lvl or more

That is one of the bright spots for SS. In other games if you are level 30 good luck killing level 35. In this game if you are level 250 and know what you are doing you can do Forgie and Pick DGs. Plus level is not a direct power correlation like it is in other games.

I want a mixture of different AIs in DGs, and their gear randomized, because it just gets really boring after awhile, you see Platties in a DG, you know what to bring, Mining, whereas if you have mixed AIs with randomized gear, you wont know what to expect which will be more fun :)

I am with you, randomly generated DGs with randomly generated AI with random gear!

Since AI levels depends on gear mix we might find some pretty uber AI in levels that are worth the kill in terms of xp. This would also stop DG camping since each boss would be random and as such you just never know.

Hmmmm

I would like to go in another direction.

DG's give exp and loot.

I would like the loot to be more predictable. If I want a certain item or commod, I would like to go to a certain DG and get the specific loot I want.

i agree with russ to a degree. i dont think commods should be in one exact DG but rather in a general area so u dont spend ur time going through like 50 DGs. as for ai with randomized gear i think that would be fun but there has to be some limitations. you cant have sawtooths shooting delqaud lasers
