I looked and this one is 512x512, and almost all ships should be this size or larger (rather than the 256x256 that seems to be the current majority) depending on model size in my opinion. The color scheme was at the request of whichever dev asked for the graphic, cant recall. I always thought I made him a bit too dark, but doesn't look too bad there. I try to do very high res textures, low res ones are not me or my choice. Unfortunately with that model there looks to be a texture wrapping issue i will have to fix when i get a pc that can play SS again. Red isn't exactly an inconspicuous color that you would expect from a stealthy messenger god.
