a new c1 would mean all characters start off at level 0. Thats even worse than losing our oly ships.

that was a one way transfer. But anyway, you fighting for nothing here, that wont happen. You are free to prefer c1, i couldnt care less. but it wont make it come back.

im not saying it will comeback im just saying it was better in every way and a bunch of old players quit cause C2<C1

I don't see what the big deal is about C2 because it's just as entertaining, in my opinion, as C1. Unless I'm crazy

The reason so many players quit when C2 came out was because they were barely playing anyway. They weren't even playing C1 because it was fun for them, they just played it because it was what they had done for 12+ months, and it was just what they did for fun.

Most of them really wanted to quit, even if they didn't know it yet. They just couldn't work up the motivation to actually do it. When C2 came out, it gave them that bit of extra oomph to push them over that edge, and finally quit for real.

The down and dirty of it was that C1 was stagnating. It wasn't going anywhere positive, and changing to C2 was necessary. Is it still working through a few kinks? Of course. But its future is much brighter than C1's ever was.

i agree C2 had to be released but im just dissapointed by the end product.

The backgrounds are not causing lag, this has been said multiple times. If they settings aren't defaulted to the way Jey has them, that is what they should be. I can make any game look bad if I mess with the gamma and lighting.

I intended to redo the Zaphragi textures as they are pretty low res and the zebra is especially sub par, but there was other stuff that just didn't exist so that took some priority. When I start up on serious deving again this summer redoing the textures I don't like will be one of the many things to do.

C2 is C1, with a different UI. Even though I knew this quite well I think I expected more just like many people. Beta was awesome though for sure, enjoyed the heck out of that. It is not like we have had a lack of big game changers though, new nexus, new skill cost, new fremium model and no more gg. I would say it is all a big positive to ensure that SS grows and becomes better.

I talk with the geese. Obviously she's not aloud to say anything in particular but its obvious that they are constantly swamped by tickets, and the way tickets get designated and re-designated takes time.

Me & mow upgraded to better crappy PCs that actually have graphics cards in them

The second I logged into C2 with the new crappy PC on high graphics & all the boxes ticked I almost cried.

OMG the graphics, the warp bubble when you warp, the look of the ships.. it was way way way beyond what I was expecting.

Guys, if yer having issues and stuck on low graphics settings plz go upgrade your PC. Thats pretty much how your going to solve your issues.

On a personal note to the game Devs & esp Jey for putting up with bitching & moaning & almost demanding he fix my C2 I say guys way to fucking go. This is a brilliant quality product and I know its going to keep me entertained for a very long time "at least till C3 comes out" lol
