funny how we remember things as better than they actually was, c1 certainly did not have "amazing graphics", not the sort thats going to bring in new punters anyway. I'm sure someone will get round to customising c2 models to look sharper and more spritey for you. The reverse cannot be true for c1, you couldnt make those look 3d if you wanted to...

however theres something about c2 backgounds that make me feel sea sick at times, go into deep space and try to get some sense of where you are or what direction you are travelling..its awful. need that star field as a point of reference cos if you are kiting you simply dont know where you are or what degree of floating you are doing

C1 graphicswise was ok compared to other games but the detail on ships, and weapons, and pretty much everything else for that matter wsa so precise and in C2 its all unsophisticated

it was because they were 2d that allowed room for detail. all the models in C2 are nowhere near as detailed they just have the general shape and color. in C1 u could just glance at a ship or wep and know exactly what it is whereas in C2 CALC=ACAL

cal and acal graphics is a bad example as its blatantly unfinished

Thats deffinately something i've noticed about weapons like magcannons. Back in c1 you could easily tell the difference between them. Not so much here. Also with the new 3d models, the average player can't go in and edit them to their liking like in c1.

i guess all weps are unfinished then cause i cant tell shit from shit. and im still waiting to see a ship where as soon as i see it i shit my pants like when i saw ships for the first time in c1

i know what a pos wave+ looks like. it looked better on C1 also

i would love an unnecessary 5 month rollback if it brought C1 back. i dont see why the rollback would have to happen but i wouldnt mind it

Because the last c1 save that was saved was 5 months back. They'd have to load the 5 month old save, and this one would be deleted. I'd kill you if you made the admins delete all of our oly ships.

or u could just transfer stuff to a new c1 rather then just load up the 5 month old one?
