The whole Kony thing is just a trend to be honest. Moralfags just use it to inflate their ego when in truth they have little knowledge of what's going on. By the end of this month the trend will be over and most people will have forgotten. Invisible Children is not a very credible charity comparatively, and although they made a good documentary, it's a waste of time. Kony has not been active for about 6 years, and the LRA has been going on since the late 80's. This isn't something new, and people need to learn about what the real problem is. Over 25 years, the LRA has killed aproximately 30,000 people and displaced many thousands more. However, this is absolutely nothing compared to other problems in Africa. Taking out one warlord who supports thousands and kills thousands won't do very much. Another person will simply take on Kony's role. I think that people should be spending their efforts trying to educate Africans, as well as support the government and focus on disease prevention instead of trying to help those displaced by the rebellion. Diseases like AIDS, Typhoid, and Malaria kill millions every year, yet you don't see a million people on Facebook who are trying to solve the problem.

So basically, Kony is another distraction, and I don't support people who think they're helping to fix the problems of an entire continent by watching a 30 minute video and posting statuses on Facebook.
