Re: An interesting topic.

Tbh your stand on this case surprised me the most Cygnus, do you think that we should ignore any act of abuse, because of what? Because expecting devs to fair play is "unrealistic expectation"?
That's all I can read from your posts, you suddenly came up with insta bugfixes, perfect admins, perfect content. You cover expectations of fair playing and honest devs with that unrealistic shit and try to derail everything to hell.
Seriously, You've moved a minor thing like expecting quick response on tickets to the place of major problem, you've exaggerated this minor to something beyond matter and then you call people to boycott whole thing.
Isnt it right?
As my final post in this topic(Hopefully it dies soon); This is not entirely accurate, but is partially accurate. Moderate argument often simply does not work against people who are angry on the internet, because their anger has moved their argument from the first, to the second or even third level of belief. While cool rational argument can fairly easily dislodge first level beliefs, second and third level ones require more emotional responses, often involving more radical arguments.
Essentially, my plan
was to go too far, and then reel back if he had started to see my side of the argument(at which point his beliefs have also receded to a first, or at least second level belief), and more cool rational arguments can be used.
...Or so my college professors have told me. I have found that I tend to win arguments, or at least get people to give up on arguing with me, with this strategy, so I tend towards using it.
In any case, I'm glad the issue has been resolved.
