Let's think here .. ' FULL REVERSE THRUST '

It happens and is possible in so many other Sci-Fi related shiz.

It would make kiting so much easier, without having to turn around and thrust, just reverse.

Either add in an extra key to reverse rather than stop ( have it at the same -thrust power as not to be too broken ) Shouldn't be as powerful as thrusting at all, but should at least be possible.

Why?

Here's an example;

I'm kiting bana queen FORWARDS (ergo chasing her because i'm scary), she begins to slow down, so I hit the brake and continue to kite at the distance I desire until she stops. Then she heads BACKWARDS (ergo chasing me because shese angry).

Currently I have to turn away thrust, get the right speed and turn back around, she accelerates I have to turn around and thrust again, and again, and again until shese max speed and I'm kiting perfectly.

This iritates me. I want backwards engine / option / modifications.

Is this going to be another Heph weps post?

I hate the idea of going backwards for some reason. In every other game I have played that has that mechanic it seems corny. Braking rocks.

Thrusting in reverse would cause the engine to exhaust all over your ship if you used the same engine hardpoints. Not many ships can withstand tens of thousands of degrees of heat melting their underside. Not to mention the smoke it would cause from the engine effects, you couldn't see anything as a pilot!

Push tractor. And yes, DoW is again asking for a "beef" so he can make it easier upon himself.

An OPTIONAL reverse thrusting.

Change your aug setup to get that tractor range then?

I got a better idea. If you cant deal with turning around and thrusting a bit, i suggest you change something other then your aug setup. How about your class?
