Post "Overcharge"
Couldn't really think of a suitable title for this topic, but basically, as I was sitting waiting for my Sing brake to charge, I thought, I sure wish I could use some of the bundles of elec I have to charge this thing faster! So that's basically my suggestion. Of course this would be entirely broken without some kind of downside, so I'd suggest that trying to do such an action would result in a (probably high) chance of having the item 'overload' and have to recharge from the beginning. I understand that the intention of the charge rate feature is to restrict the usage of these items so not sure how this would be recieved.

Yea, I didn't understand it either til I re-read it. Basically he wants to be able to take advantage of having a lot of either bank or regen and his item to charge faster instead of the normal 'cool off' charging rate.

Something tells me that this would be so freaking OP considering there are SSS that does 20k+ damage and whit no CD it would be über broken.
Do that and then bank aug a T21 ship and you got urself solo oly?

Cooldowns are set at what they are for a reason. a PWI (for example) isn't meant to be used more than once every 30s for a reason.

EDIT: I don't have a PWI, sue me.

Every 30 on PWI.

If using it more then it was meant keeps giving you more elec drain, I'm all for it.

Say if you PWI once, you get the normal -666 elec a sec, you use it again you get -1332 elec a sec.

I guess I didn't explain it well enough...whenever you opted to charge your item faster, there would be a high chance that the item overloads, and the charge/cooldown (whatever you wanna call it) resets back to 0% charged.

Maybe you can upgrade a select few items, such as the Sing Brake, to do this. Add an Anni Thruster 2 plat bars and 5b cash, or something like that.
I wouldn't like to see this option for all items, too broken. But for items DESIGNED for only transport, sure why not.
However its still broken as bollocks.
