Post Another ambient light thread
It's become a mantra in SS2 feedback threads: the player base is tired of straining our eyes. I don't care if it's luminous ship outlines or just more ambient light, but things have got to change.

The only reason for this thread's existence is that (I hope) a single concerted push on the matter will finally do what ten desultory threads have not. Post here if you agree this needs to change.

For one, im defo going to be unsubbing a few of my accounts. I pay to have this game take my social life away from me, dont need it to take my eyesight as well :)

I'm with enkelin on this, just as I was last time.

I would also like to add though, that C2 is ages away from being a real marketable finished product, and if it is released as is then the game will die, and rightly so. I have tried the Alpha and Beta, they both showed C2 to be in very early developmental stages still. Releasing something like that to live is firstly an affront to those who spend their hard earned money to enjoy this game, and secondly it is grossly irresponsible from a financial perspective. It would be like releasing Battlefield 3 before the weapons were implemented, if you release incomplete and unnattractive then you can expect all your prospective customers to be already gone by the time you attain the status of complete and attractive.

Personally, I find that unnattractive. As I have put a lot into this game, and would love to see it not capsize like many others that also chose to jump the gun.

Allow me though to end on a positive note. Both the Alpha and Beta were very impressive, and with a good deal more work and fine tuning they could become an extremely successful and enjoyable product. Please don't ruin tht potential by releasing them in their current stages. We have waited years(admins aand players alike) for this, I'm sure we can last a few more months in return for a viable finished product.

Wow actually puts immense amounts of ambient light in caves, because the players told them it would make it not suck. SS heard the same thing and they ignored it outright.
