Post invuln from ai for 2 seconds after getting in stas ship
similar idea to where if you get popped by a base you get an invuln period. except here generalizing to ai.

i say 2 seconds from time you get in your ship to the time the ai can aggro to you. More than enough time to run, or use an item, etc.

Would GREATLY help out newbs and newblets, who get stuck very often in situations well over their heads.

A 2 second grace period could mean youcould scout first lvls of dgs, and if you die not have to log for 10 minutes automatically.

Would mean if you have a low regen shield, ie ghoulstop or etc, you could get enough time to get into your ship and sing break to the warp/base without getting one shotted by ai.

2 seconds is enough time to turn a cloak (whch always bothered me they turn off automatically when you die.)

i'm off to nap, feedback appreciated.

The ultimate shit situation is when you're seer and you use a Shrouding/Serious Shrouding Channeler. Because of the "NB items unequips"-code, you have to manually equip it, then use it. Damn funny :)

5 seconds. to bring in line with the 5 sec grace period for getting killed by ai drones.

Insanely abusable?

Will it be? I can't think of very many scenarios where it would allow for any major exploiting.

It would be removed the moment you fired a shot/did something aggressive/beneficial to a squad or other I'd imagine.

Collision code while invuln for even just 2 seconds can negate a lot of damage.

It's not an invuln aura. The ai would refuse to shoot YOU or if they have already shot in your direction, for the grace timer, the shots fly straight over you and hit anything trying to hide behind you.

So basically, for 2-5 seconds, all ais in the gal treat your ship as if it was a spirit.

No. Shots flying in your direction would still collision code your ship back into stasis, which would allow you to use regen ships to block shots while setting up in a boss room.

If a ship was treated like a spirit, which is a code that already exists, then shots would not hit you and the player in question would not be attacked.

this too

only exploit on this level I can think of is drone/FC auras[drones can/will be shot though, so not too much of an issue], so FC auras for 2 seconds. Oooooh, broken shit. Beyond that, who needs range, -vis, etc. auras for 2 seconds at the cost of gg21, and either 5mins or alot of healing..

I'm sure there's a code in their libraries somewhere that will allow the invuln. aura/spirit-like mode that already exists to block out other auras on the ship for those five seconds!

Yeah it's called having 0 hostility, which can cause several issues in dg's, boss rooms etc.

I vote no.

DG AI unagro when you die until you hit/tractor them (or even shoot at them)

Solved?

what problems? know many bosses can get one shotted that you'd need 2 seconds to warm up to killing them? Cost you a gg each time to even possibly 'abuse' this, and , this code is already in for player vs player and we've all seen how that works.

Would have no abusable issues i could forsee as proposed. you're still aggro, you just get a 2 sec invuln when ai kill you, and if it's lke the pvp code soon as you land one shot you're invuln aura is gone again.

if this were abusable then why have we not heard of the 10 second one in pvp being abused?
