Post [Content] Taking the AI Pillboxs to the next level.
I think if we have AI Pillboxes, we could make some races have terrority next uni in wild space, such as the Zebra Armada, UrQa, Green, Icepick alike. Of course each AI type could have one.

There would be specific areas in unclaimed gals, which will unleash builders of these teams, these will begin to setup starting kits, and this main kit is the heart of the empire, building up area very quickly if not dealt with, of course there would be a cap, they would begin to build more of themselves in the team HQ galaxy, they will look for specific resources, sometimes even building colonies.

The current AI, would be standard soldiers and such and they would gradually rise, the zebra armada would be slowly conquering, and militaristic, so they will generally assault galaxies nearby the Zebra Armada galaxies, usually AIvB and sometimes if the basing ships are caught up in the mess they will begin a BvB fight. The UrQa would be about strength in numbers, attempting to colonize as much area as possible, however having weak bases

The Green would be about heavy weaponry, so the galaxies are well-defended with up to Ada gear if left for around 2 weeks (These AI have 24/7 to work)

The Icepicks would be about rapid colonization and military, therefore low defences, amassing huge numbers around the universe if left for a while.

Now then, you can hold these AI in place by taking the galaxies by extreme power and earning a ton of dough and DG loot each time (possibly armada gear against zebras at a much higher rate in the galaxies)

Now then, since these AI have much longer to work than the average human, they will colonize rapidly but will take around 2 days to fortify a galaxy, bearing the crappy proddys they bare.

This would populate wild space.

Along with this, Dark Transport convoys should be more common as more trader AI should, this would let the odd merchant get a ton of cash by amassing alot of commodities for a low price, the traders can leave, and set out for another area, they could also build trading gals to setup a small merchant outpost, selling scooped goods for the average joe price.

There should also be passive AI which build bases, such as the Paxians and Earthforce (No fuzz because that'd ruin the fun), which would fight against the UrQa, Greens, Icepicks, and Zebra Armada.

These AIs should NOT give XP, or just give a much lower rate due to it being a potential grindfest for the higher levels.

Thanks! I was thinking of this idea for quite a while since we rarely get any conflict and it would add a touch to wild space, truly making the layer "wild".

Yes. God yes. /signed. You could even incorporate this into Alien invasions too. Ideas about that:

Alien Invasion thing: The more area the hostile AI factions control, the more the weakness of the spacetime "field" increases. This is due to the AI attempting to follow and develop a set of devices to break down the walls between dimensions. Only, the AI don't know this; they belive these devices give them power. Guess what's on the other side of the breach? The entirety of the UrQuan armada. Obviously, the urqa ai segment of this is just the advanced guard.

Could be tied in with Enigmatic Sector as well. As the field weakens, the wormhole back to the past and across dimensions in EG increases size. Eventually, it's large enough that the ancient races decide to take a look. Thus bringing in the Mzungu, Bule, and Faranji back into the universe. They have maybe a couple days to set up, and unless you can stop the Evil AI, the field weakens enough for the Urqa to open a breach to their dimension, bringing the entire fleet through. They then expand and destroy everything. All the good races including the players bunch up in an extremely fortified sol and defend against the urqa. As the battle rages, the good races see that they cannot beat the urqa, and decide the only way to survive this is to reboot the universe. They plan to convert the players, their ships, and their stuff into energy codes to store in a massive ship, the Trans-Universe Ark. This starts a countdown, after which (will continue this later)

EDIT: Continuing.

Revisions: All players AND good AI races are planned to be stored in ark.

...after which, the Ark will suck in everything player related. However, the AI bases around the universe are what the Ark channels this sucking thing through, and bases are too big to fit. Stasis fields also interfere (bases and ships in stasis, gone). Earthforce drones carry a subspace marker enabling the ark to pick them up, but alien ones do not (I.E. adonis, ambrosia, andaman drones are saved. As are perpetual motion ones. They are converted into energy formats and re-formed in the new universe inside the first ship with available space for them). This process takes a total of 10 minutes, during which the urqa armada breaks through the defenses and targets the ark. The players must work together to heal and defend the ark during the last 2 minutes so it can finish sucking everything in. At the very last second, the players and races in Sol are sucked up, and the detonation of the universe is put into action. Note that, there is some weird error in targeting the ancient races, so they are not saved. The Ark fires itself into the Sol Sun, Sol, and explodes it. This reverses time, rewinding everything to the beginning of a new universe with the Ark riding through, safe and somehow isolated from the time reversal in the center of the sun. In the new universe, or shall we say the old one, the Ark emerges from the sun, and begins transmatting everything out of it's energy memory. It burns up the nova energy it ate during the reversal of time, and then it's last reserves. It falls into the sun, destroyed, before anyone knows of it's existence. And this process repeats. Forever. Until the devs think of something like the ME3 stupid endings to end the cycle.

I already have ideas like this, it's half done (the Ruin stations on reset were part of it), I'm waiting on some new code/motivation to finish everything else off. [Currently, due to a slight oversight, the plan isn't possible.]

They still give DG loot and would prevent building alot of ships because you can't get access to commods since people need to band up and kill these alien menace!
