Post Missing Flags
This has been issue that multiple players have reported in the past. Thanks to the help of one player who managed to fix this problem, we now have a potential solution for anyone who is experiencing this problem. If you are playing Star Sonata and custom team flags aren't displaying properly, you might be able to fix this problem by following these steps:

- Open Internet Explorer
- Go to the toolbar > tools > Internet Options
- From there, select the "Connections" tab
- Click on the "LAN settings" button near the bottom
- Uncheck the "use a proxy server for your LAN" option

If you have been having problems with flags, please try this solution and let us know the results (or lack of results).

I've had problems with flags appearing to.

Don't use IE (I checked it anyway) but when i checked the proxy LAN box wasnt selected

Do use Firefox, but the equivalent box wasn't ticked.

I am behind a router, which may make a difference i dunno :)

I've had this prob with flags.
IE box wasn't checked, and as I use firefox I checked that and it was set to 'Use system proxy settings'. And since I don't use proxy or have a hardware firewall.

I wonder; where does the client store the flags it has downloaded? Could be some software in windows is cleaning out the temp files? I'ma put a bit of effort into figuring this out. Ain't been paying a lot of attention to the circumstances surrounding when the flags dissapear and then re-load.

The client only stores the flags in memory, and downloads them again if you restart the client.

Aah, in that case I haven't had the problem. My connection must just be grotty as it takes ages for them to appear.

[Edit: Sorry, have to put this suggestion in, my programmers mind won't let me ignore it lol..

If the client is made to store them locally, it can load them instantly, and as it does it's usual download it can simply overwrite them. That should sort out the flags appearing issue, and if it doesn't, then you know the prob likely lies with the flags arriving in the first place.]
