I would like to offer a word of warning to Droners. I cannot refund drones if you lose them to a crash. Until we've confirmed the server's stability, if you choose to use drones you take your drones' lives into your own hands.

This is terribly unfair-- what it is saying is droners -- dont play.

This is just a reflection of the fact that drones are lost when they are killed. That is terribly unfair considering the high cost of top end drones.

Drones should be like slaves and go into stasis.

What makes it worse is if you have a storage character you have NO OPTION but to use drones to solo level as it is the engineer class that has the space bonuses that a storage character needs (at least if you are a dedicated base builder) The current system just sucks

Admins are not going to spend their time giving you free drones when instead they could be fixing the bugs.

Go make an alt or go cry some more. Admins are people too.

so basically what u r saying is admins made this game crash a lot, and that this is responsible for many droners losing their drones, and these droners are expected to replace these drones because of something that someone else fucked up? what if there was a weird ass bug and serve crashes made dreadnoughts dissapear...

Admins gave a warning to those who use drones.

If admins told me that the server could crash and make me lose any of my ten dreads, I'd simply stop playing until the server is stabilized, even if admins were offering to replace them.

Having admins replace drones will only slow down fixing the server, ergo slowing things down for everyone.

they should at least refund the drones after the server is fixed cause its not the droners fault drones are a DMs only way of gameplay

Llessur was correct in his assessment that the admins were essentially saying: don't play. He was incorrect in saying this isn't "fair", and using his rage to fuel another rant in the ongoing discussion about how to make drone losses less extreme.

Might I point out that they also said, "Don't start any expensive builds" with the implication those wouldn't be refunded either. The blanket policy against refunds is reasonable and understandable, so live with it. Don't make it taint the larger issue of drone losses.

YES!

If i see if server is patching or it keeps crashing, i just wait until they fix it!
