Engines left on after coarse correction on stealth ships.

The engines are off until mid-coarse correction and then left on ... make a great target.

You're on auto-pilot. Not a bug.

Read Jeff's notes when he changed the AP function.

You're still on AP.

Don't like getting attacked while afk aping? Don't ap and don't go afk. Use a base to afk in.

I looked at Jeff_L's autopilot changes. His most recent is:

Quote:
Fixed a bug with autopilot and no background rendering (autopilot didnt get as many idle, and as such, lost a lot of precisions. It will however, means that background client on autopilot will use a bit more cpu than background client not on autopilot.

Server & Client Patch March 26

Looking further, Jeff_L say anything for autopilot in like 3 years, which would put it before C2.

Conclusion:

You are bashing JeffL.

For once I agree with thumper. Churchill, however, remains an idiot.

The code was changed to make it more functional for stealth ships, but it clearly doesn't work very well. Additionally, AP does not compensate for using afterburners or knockback weapons; it immediately begins braking, ruining many of these things unless you constantly re-AP. I honestly preferred the old system(For some ships, anyway), simply because with skill you could get where you were going faster. Now it's just annoying. The old system was also much stealthier.

I also remember the AP code being tweaked for stealth.

(Patch notes here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=48792) * tweaked the autopilot so that it should try to not thrust as much if a ship is stealthy (if your visibility was lower than 100 at any point during the ap (or when ap jumped), the ap will consider your ship as stealthy and will act accordingly)

And no churchill this isnt Jeff so shut your face it's still an admin and it's still bloody ingame.
