The (High graphics) distortion effects from warping, explosions, and weapons impacts vs ships seem to stick around way too long (actual length seems proportional to framerate).

Also they're extremely distracting. was tractoring heph and i could see only like a sixth of him at any given time due to the effect.

Oh, also their position seems static relative to your screen, so that if it was in the center and you move away at 700 speed it stays in the center rather than staying attached to the object which caused it

No idea if this is a recent development or been like that forever; I just got a new gpu which can actually handle high graphics this week :-D

apparently they're in medium graphics too... tried lowering my gfx settings to get away from it but they're everywhere :-O
Except low, and i refuse to stoop that low now.

Pun intended? They're not that bad on medium, but yeah, I agree. Needs a tad bit more time reduction.

It seems like they don't scale with zoom... what i mean is, the effects are the same # of pixels at any zoom level, so they seem less significant zoomed in and WAAAAAY too big while zoomed out.
Took a couple screenies to illustrate how bad it is in run situations.

Can you spot the wattage and Zeus in these pictures? I think not.

The massive distortion effect on Zeus thunders is also rather disorienting but at least i can still see... Didn't manage to snap a screenie of that one.
