Post Feedback on the latest version of projectile particles?
We spent a bit of time tweaking the particles on projectiles for this last patch. What do you guys think of how it currently is?

When the weapon impacts with its target there's no more small graphic that tells you it made contact. The weapon simply just disappears. Personally I liked the size of weapons before the patch.

Fantastic job on controlling lag this patch by the way, I get non on large scale battles.

I think that, in general, they look fantastic and much closer to C1, which is a definite plus.

On an entirely different note, my capital lasers still look like carp. >.>

My feedback:
Magcannons: Better than c1. Don't touch them. At all.
Pulse Guns: @ c1's level.
Lasers: They are good, but they need a couple tweaks. 1; take away the stupid blurry stretchy thing that stays after the laser dissapears for a second. 2; In C1 when you fired a laser, there was this star-like thing that was at the point of firing on your ship. Bring those back. Get both of these done and you have C1 lasers.
CALP Lasers: Haven't had a chance to see them.
Healing beams: Nope, still missing the Ying-Yang thing from C1.

Maybe you guys are right. We can leave things how they are for now and get more feedback later.

Healing beams still need work, a lot in my opinion.

They are there now. I made them way bigger.

Can you suppress the beam part of the healing weapons a bit? In C1 you'd rarely ever see the beam over the yin-yang.

For trans, try putting in a particle effect moving towards their ship. Blue spinning particles or something like that. Really give the impression that it's different from a laser.

I think there's a lot of work that could be done with lasers, but I have barely done anything with them and that's not what this thread is about. :)

So any feed back on the impact graphic on weapons? Looks kind sloppy in my opinion.

Return laser to what they were before patch, then for energy weapons make a setting for the giant balls of plasma from before and the sparkly dots now

I love the balls of plasma, make a setting for them nao! >:D(or at least for torpedos and maybe some pulse guns)

As for lasers, they looked fine before (not counting trans, as I dont pay attention to that), the little dots that rose from them were great.
