maybe this is already said, but i couldn't be assed to read through entirely, too many letters makes my brain hurt...

Will ubers be roaming in build able space? because there is so much where you can build then.

Well if you can't be bothered to read, then don't bother to comment. In other words, yes it has already been said, multiple times.

Make sure you put it in your SS folder under program files.
Make sure it looks like an SS icon. (for some reason mine came out as a blue and white square icon the first time I downloaded it. I deleted it and redownloaded, and it worked fine).
Use the new Test icon to launch starsonata.
On the login screen, click the "More" button. Where it says liberty.starsonata.com, change it to say test.starsonata.com.

It crashes on load, meaning I can't get to the more button. Its in the SS folder (which isn't under Program Files for me since I install to a different location) and the icon is correct. It loads the login box, gives a pop-up stating there was an unexpected error, then Star Sonata closes after a few seconds. The UI nor any other graphics from normal gameplay load.

Note: I had also tried previously re-downloading it multiple times to no avail.

First of all, thanks for the regular updates and the question 'sessions'.

How are pests going to be balanced in PvB? I can build titanium/laconia/ada dampeners for just about everything, use X/Y/Z gear, install expensive augs for regen, etc.. but I will only be able to equip one pest control. Will pest controls basically make those heavy investments rather pointless? Jeff used the phrase 'massive combined damage with pests' (this is not word for word) at some stage, which makes me raise my eyebrows.

Second question... Regarding the buildable space in w2/w3 and the uber-termites that will roam around in higher DF's. With this change, isn't it likely that most higher DF gals will be protected which will seriously reduce the ability to lvl on roaming AI's? Any changes to the way protected gals work planned?

We have come to this solution for Hunting/Buildable space, etc.

Layer 3 will be mostly w2/low w3 DFs used mostly for building. AIs killed by bases will give little xp and no drops (Base guns are so strong they just destroy the ship and its contents completely). Layer 4 will be added and it will be the entire w3 DFs, non buildable and accessible from both ends of layer 3, with the highest dfs being at the center. Some inner gals of layer 3 may have juxtas to parts of layer 4 as well. I will update the New Uni Shape page to reflect this.

Does this mean less buildable space that you originally anticipated?

Nope... adding an extra layer for hunting. Check the page for more details.

I love you Pip :wink:
This looks amazing, but one thing that has to be looked at is this (mags);
Adonis=20k'ish size
Anda=26K'ish size

now my DF only has 10k hull on live, and 13/14k on test, it is 2 caly augged and I would expect it to at least be able to carry adonis base gear...

One thing I can't understand is that anda ST's are now like 2.5k size.
:?
Other than base gear this looks uber, thanks m8

Kanga

Pip - Edited for crazy amounts of \n

As I said earlier, please refrain from posting stats you think are wrong until we get the system up. You're the 3rd or 4th person to mention something in this thread about base stuff. We get it...

You can understand the concern though when one of the questions was about shrinking base gear and the reply was that you had no intention of doing it.

We won't have real examples til something is generated on test (hopefully soon), but I got an illustration I will show if i get permission from the maker. Stay Tuned.

Looks like it will take a hellishly long time to get from Sol to deep warp 3.
