Anyone still have Uber Kills that they haven't handed in? If it's less than 10, I don't want to hear about it.

camping easy ubers for hundreds of uberkills doesnt deserve good ships IMO

Buying uberkills also seems a poor way of doing it. The contest was a fun idea, but basicly its a contest not of skill or wit, but of who has the most time to spend on a game.

I suggest you do a contest for Fleet Masters...

Most person with Rantings/Ravings and the other one.

The reward would be a set of Tech 5-10 slaves with nice built in Fleet Master Only gear?

SOme slaves that would be worthwhile using in UZ or something...

And the second place would be some UZ Tech 16-19 Fighters?

or drone wars/tactics for droners

SD's snipers and MF's already have all the fun they can have, so the arena contest is good there

Other MMO's handle events in a completely different way. At the end of each event you tend to get an award if you have completed the event which is not dependant on what other people got. I got a couple ideas so I might as well post them here :

Event 1 - Squad Race

Requirements :
- Must be level 20+
- Light Fighters only
- Every squad leader must buy a Squad Race Beacon

The event itself :
Each squad starts in Sol within the boundaries of the Sun. They then have to race to 10 different galaxies in Warp 0. To start the event the Squad Leader must activate the Squad Race Beacon on Sol. Then the team races to wherever and the Leader has to activate the Beacon again on top of that galaxies main sun. All the team members have to be within 30 distance of the squad Leader who has to be be 30 distance from the sun.

At the end of the event (when the Beacon is activated for the last time) the whole squad gets 2/3 levels and a token that they can exchange for a series of items.



Event 2 - AI Drop Event

Requirements :
- None

The event itself:
For a whole weekend, AI's drop a special collectible event item. The use of this item can be changed depending on the event. If a person gets enough event items they can exchange it for cash , a semi decent item or for exp. It really depends on how nice the admins want to be. The drop rate should be dependant on the difference between the player level and the ai level. The higher the AI is compared to the player, the more it drops.

Event 3 - Double EXP weekend.

Requirements :
- Level 20+

The event itself:
All players get double exp for a weekend.


These are basically the type of events that other MMO's have. Its usually along the line of collecting stuff, races or simply giving double exp to people. There can be huge variations on these basic event principals and once designed can be used frequently.
