Quite a stupid question.

You could have a pol about the Mastery Skills, like Sniper, Berzerk, Multifire, Station Mastery, etc. But not about normal ones, because a ship, shield, engine and energy source are all important and needed in this game.

Also, numbers of people choosing a certain mastery skill won't do you any good. Asking why they actually like a certain mastery skill will help you or others to choose a skill.
