Easy, one-click thumb up/down to see the general consensus of OP's idea at a glance.

Been suggested before, I still think it's a good idea.

Also cuts down on "/signed" replies and keeps the thread clean for opinions on the suggestions

- Must make post; otherwise no up/down vote.

- Vote attached to post.

- Total Votes shown on topic name at forum/sub forum.

- P2p only, whether unsubbed or active.

-Must meet minimal word count. Spam should be screened for by devmins and mods and deleted if found. Treat the spam as someone breaking the forum rules.


The difference is that a topic could be filled with a lively discussion of a suggestion...or it could be filled with /pb345 spam. Really don't know until you open and read the whole damned topic.

This way, you can see theres maybe some stuff of note in the topic. Maybe some reasons on why or why not it should go in.

And you won't find as much spam (because if they try, they start getting banned off the forum). Theres also only a limited amount of p2p accounts.

I am not a fan of voting on suggestions. I tolerate "/signed" and similar, but I prefer actual feedback.

People have the option of putting in a Yes, no poll. I think the whole like/dislike is only effective when you've got several thousand people looking at a topic such as in Reddit where not every comment is going to be read.
