Post subject:  Random Idea #318 Spy Ship

Spy Ship

Tech - 10
Type - Light Fighter
Hull - 150
Initial Speed- 90
Resistance - 0 % across bored
inbuilt Items ; Transformation Switch
--- Allows the ship to change appearence much like the ancient dragon form idea. allowing said ship to become the image of a small moon , space cheese , or any other ship sized item in the current system it is in,

if no item is avalale it becomes an asteroid,
Liek the BST and other ships the player name and such will not be notable from appearence in hidden or regular form,
however , even in hidden form if item is selected the players basic stat;s are shown.

This ship will have no weapons and only 2 aug slots.

making it completely un combat effective with acception of missile,s


Inbuilt Item #2

Flit device (5 forward directional low range instant jumps)

Skin for ship , kasper.

If its no good for combat, no resists, relatively low speed and no augs(?) then what will it be used for other than to sit in and trolololol around a bit.

Kinda the point? pretty cool for spying like seers have low vis gals while this can be anywhere.

Pointless and/or broken.

1) The spy ship could only have a limited number of forms, meaning people will memorize which ones and simply shoot anything that may be the ship.

2) Bases could just shoot the person on seeing them warp in. If the different forms negated base aggro, it would be broken because people would just waltz right into an enemy gal unharmed.

3) It's redundant. Cloaks already hide people from view of other players. We don't need a second, and clunky, mechanic.

It's not pointless, it's a cool idea. If there was some gimmick with the special ability, i.e. it turns into an asteroid for x minutes with 100% resist to all, except -500% vulnerability to mining you could get some pretty neat spy missions into enemy territory. Imagine piloting around a sun disguised in an asteroid field, skill involved and i like the concept

Imagine tanking a gal because you have 100% resists to all.

In my opinion, this would be too much of a pain to code for little reward, not to mention that the entire premise is gimmicky.
