Post The Great Hallways [PvP content]
The idea, of adding a galaxy in between the jump from EVERY warp to sol.

How do you do this? Change every current warp to sol into the "The Gate Way", then have a 2-3k stretch of distance for available pvp. So everyone gets in only 1 way, and at the end of the hallway, there is the gatekeeper gal, it has the warp to sol. Majestically encrusted around fine textures.

The idea of this galaxy is for pvp to be narrowed down into an area in which essentially you cant escape. But how is this special?

No upward pvp range.

Very low downward range


Content: This is going to make the gal interesting. Add an aura as a floating item, it has a pulsing warp interdiction, and decays upon warping out.

Also, have a speed tweak available, so you can simply scoop and rush to the other side. (Provided that you dont have a warp interdiction on you :wink: )

In the future, I would love to see hallways everywhere! Blocking off certain content areas. Also, tons of various, hallway only tweaks, all color coated.

Also, shortcuts for certain people to avoid. Mabe warps with peacemaking 20?

Then mabe add shortcuts to ENTER different hallways, with piracy 20.

Also mabe a noob shortcut? Under a certain lvl can pass through, to prevent noob pwnage.

Mabe SSS that you can scoop and decay upon warping out?

Lots and lots of unique, powerfull tweaks, auras, OLs should be available!

Hallways are expected to replace the juxes to sol, since in a sense. Its the same thing.

What Radia said. Replace Juxta's and any gal next to sol with a hallway will serve to just drive people away from the supposedly most protected place in the universe.

Forcing pvp or changing the game to force pvp onto those that don't want it or cannot fight back is piracy unless theres a war going on.

From the looks of it, you want free pvp, not a war. But all you'll end up is to become another Toth. And all the people who remembers Toth HATES HIM. But if you like having a reputation like flaming demon, thats fine. Tell Erman first so he can boot you.

If you want pvp, make the Colo a layer.

An entire Layer, with multiple gals, DGs, Ai, Bases, and Missions. Ubers too.


I said colo, as in, no losses. So no, nothing like peri.

There is only so much space pirates/pvpers can cover, and there are 100x different places people could be. This community is small, and most dont even travel. They need to be condensed into 1 area.

What is needed is not condensing pirates together, since very few people would actually pirate and teams will start making convoys with other teams.

What can one or two seers do to fight 6 seers, 4 snipers, 4 engineers, 3 shms, 2 SD's, and a FC? Thats if Underdawgs and Reddit worked together. We're both pretty small teams. What happens if TDT/SBP was regularly patrolling?

The way to bring pvp to the game is to add incentives to be a mobile pvping team, while still being able to upgrade most of your gear without or limiting base exposure.

Then find ways to cause localized splits and breakups along smaller areas of Wild Space. Gotta make everyone paranoid and twitchy. However, the same with making it hard for attackers to gain any kind of foothold in enemy galaxies half way across the universe.

And finally, add incentives and ways to cause direct harm on enemy teams. I think it'd be worth using up 4 siege Z kits to turn an enemy galaxy into a desolate wasteland for its colonies, or corrupting T3 sources. But as I said, outside BvB, this should be very hard to do. Hard to gather Meta-Intel, too.

That means removal of the friends list online status unless both sides have each other friend'ed.

Don't like it. Why? Because then it just encourages greifing and pirates that only attack people they can take easily. (aka noobs)

Why do I say this? well its true! I haven't had to worry about pirates for years, they go after the noobs and people still learning the game.

And what if you had this area? what if S/B pancakes (don't mean any offense, only using as an example.) went to war with a smaller team? If they HAVE to go through this PVP layer couldn't they conceivably block that team from getting to content?

And if it has no losses...what is the point of it? we already loose almost nothing unless you carry your fortune around on your ship.

what if we just had some AI in player ships with the name "AI" but with their name underlined and when they get popped they go into stasis for a few minutes bfore disappearing. this would give lonely seers the thrill of putting something into a useless floating hunk of metal for 5 minutes..... because apparently they like doing that

Dynamic and Challenging Dungeons that require 5-6 players of the required tech and have multiple story paths and end results, defended by a diverse group of AI's.

If this was to go in, I think the annoying seers who lack content and group run ability will finally have stuff to do instead of bitch about how seers are stealthy because they can never find others to "prove" that they're better.
