If envelops synced with ships, I would use them so much. I can only think of a few times I was assed to use an envelopment against a sniper's projectile, and it worked great.

/signed for ship sync. No beef, but also add t20/t21 envelopments :)

Nah, it just mean it would be useful. Its not like envelops are hard to crush.

envelopes are great for blocking slow hard hitting shots like V2's or Brute Force. in this respect they are highly overpowered if able to stick to your ship. they are much less useful against high rof weapons or lasers as you can't pop as many and the damage blocked is negligible. I think having Envelopments impart different and wildly diverging tweaks could be very useful. but definately a no to having them follow your ship. skilled players already can use envelopments to block most shots WHILE having them stay on your ship. no reason to make it more widely available with 0 skill required.

I was playing a bit in Copper the other day, and noticed that the envelopes that those guys use from their super items die really easily. I was thinking maybe instead of long lifespans and a little bit of health, the envelopes should maybe have tons and tons of health, but short lifespan, like 2-10 seconds, so it's more like a temporary invulnerability. Not sure if that would be broken or not, though.

It would be nice if the device spammed several envelopments in various directions that could all take a few hits. Obviously it would have to have a decent cooldown though.

It might also be interesting to have envelopes that don't move. It would just anchor itself where you were when you activated it.

Using an envelopment should be like throwing off a skin imo, I mean all bullets that were after you change their aim to envelopment, if u were tractored then after use of envelopment it is being tractored, not ur ship and so on. Also if u have some1 targeted and he uses envelopment, ur target change to envelopment.

Can't we just take the simple solution, make it cost roughly 50x more, be equippable and not used up on use and also so it takes damage on death, and then worry about making them decent AFTER we make them accessible? People hate buying tweaks all the time, it feels like cheating. But using a mediocre item to beat a boss makes you feel badass, and that's never a bad thing.

I'd just like to add on to the copper envelope theme and say that envelopes on a wingship series ship are EXTREMELY useful in Copper, especially as SD. I will release a video soon of dog-fighting in Copper to illustrate what I mean.

Meh make envelops sticky. Don't beef their bank but add a new feature :o
Envelopments have the ability to deflect projectiles =/? Suppose Envelopment IV gives 14% chance of deflection? Envelopment V can b 16% or so?

Kinda crazy suggestion but what do u guys think?
