Nerfing the HM this late would be a very bad choice. It would simply be better to have a panel of experienced players that join in on certain Dev meetings (like how team leaders in the top 5 (I think) used to meet with some admin to discuss in game issues) and have certain ship/item stat combos tossed at them with no names or possible information given in the process to give an idea how to acquire them.

This process would easily catch any possible broken or underpowered stuff before it is put into circulation and had billions upon billions spent on it than nerfed. Nothing is lamer than having crap nerfed after folks go through a lot of effort to obtain it.

As a specific example, when the Ruin Outpost gear came out on reset I spent silly amounts purchasing Vazaha Base Shield Trans and Mzungu Station Defense. Both were obviously very broken but I could not risk the chance that they would not be fixed so simply had to spent billions on them. That being said, the next week they got nerfed to about 30%~ of their original stats and though I still had nice gear I was out quite a bit of money wasted simply because someone did not review a few numbers.

This stuff would be caught if only we had experienced players who actually know the game in on development. Coding and creating content is awesome but there really needs to be up to date knowledge of the game as well.

I think has been suggested but..

Suggestion for new gunner role: area of effect damage. Jumping lasers, AoE missiles. SS is lacking AoE class. I think it would be a good role for gunner.

I'd like to see more missiles with AoE damage myself, ones that have large AoE with the damage being even spread. Also it'd be cool to have a laser missile that hits main target and then splash's to all nearby enemies.

They're AoE damage is focused though.
I'm thinking more like a spawn control, doing mid dps to all ai within range.

OK heres the thing .. HM as you admit AEM is overpowered compared to rest of oly ships s instead of doing anythng to that why not just up the anti on the other 3 oly ships?

Pos Wave goes to 4 augs
AWC goes to 5 augs
ZT goes to 3 augs
HM stays the same
Hermes - well watever that is i dont care :P
