- it has come upon me to notice. that the mission's involving Exploring the "Urqa" A.i. Has become nearly impossible for the player at the nexus level of say 10 - 30 to do. even with proper surgical and heat resist gear. i my self have tried. heat shield's and surgical weapons .. u cant even witha full bank and tweaks.. The ai simply need nerfing..

will provide screenshots n such in a moment.

yes i know my setup may have sucked but what is expected of a new player ? a great setup when there just getting used to the game ? im experienced and i cant even manage a low tech setup.

Heat weapons.
They die instantly.

First heat weapon a regular noob MIGHT find:Zobitans beam. They would find it after killing zobitan if they even see him. Second heat weapon! Completely left nexus, in lavanite, fire cannon. So, no. No normal noobs can do this, I agree on balancing nexus.

I think those UrQa should be fairly weak to energy, as it's almost all that people use at that level.

Try using better augs as well Hestias would give bank but your left on your regen being soly up to your gear

This post would be fantastic if:

a) It wasn't a meta-cry for attention by a single person: although you've deleted it, if I catch people bumping topics using two separate accounts, I'll forward it onto Bageese.

b) It was any way factual:

Code:
Ujqii 0.00 0.00 1.30 0.00 0.00 0.00 0.60
Jujo'qii 0.00 0.00 1.30 0.00 0.00 0.00 0.00

That's right ~ neither ship has any resists barring mining, and even has a 30% weakness to heat.

So, let's check their gear ~

Code:
 <SHIP name="Lvl15 UrQa Scout">
 <HULL>Ujqii</HULL>

Amest Radar

Faranji Energy 2

Bule Pusher

Urqa'Qii

Guardian

Self Destructor

Shield Salve

</SHIP>

<SHIP name="Lvl16 UrQa Scout">
 <HULL>Ujqii</HULL>

Amest Radar

Faranji Energy 2

Bule Pusher

Urqa'Qii

Photon Barricade

Self Destructor

Shield Salve

</SHIP>

<SHIP name="Lvl16 UrQa Warrior">
 <HULL>Jujo'qii</HULL>

Amest Radar+

Faranji Energy 3

Bule Puller

Urqa'Qii

Urqa'Qii

Ethereal Prototype

Ethereal Prototype

Faulty Wiring

Jiji KoQuii

Photon Barricade

Self Destructor

Shield Salve

Jujo'qii Augmenter

</SHIP>

Guardian: T1 shield, 1,400 bank
Photon Barricade: T2 shield, 2,450 bank

Now: the Ujqii hull is tech 3, with 2 aug slots, which compared to the Paximinimus [tech 3, 3 aug slots, huge resists and a super-item that spams a +regen tweak] is a walk in the park. The Jujo'qii is tech 5, with 4 aug slots, so is actually quite powerful for the zone ~ however, it isn't a mission requirement to kill it, and it is the "boss AI" of the hardest zone in the nexus.

Paximinus has 2 aug slots.

When I was doing nexus stuff during beta, I found it extremely hard to dent the scouts long enough to kill one in less than 5 minutes of shooting, flying, and dodging.

My weapon systems just were not strong enough, and my energy, not even close (nexus energies) to keeping the weapon going with the constant hits to shield if I didn't dodge fast enough.

So I had to resort to using the wingship's super item instead of an actual weapon.

Wingship Magcannon device all the way!

Perhaps it's the fires? The first ship that i could use to survive there for even some time was a paximinus. It had OS pink envelope and hestia aug, which mean't 4.5k(or was it 6k?) bank and high reg. I also had 2 helga slaves with me. Now once slaves weren't allowed there i found it impossible to survive there with this alt. So there's definitely something.

Why are slaves not allowed there anyway?

Because there are bottomless AI bases that constantly buy material for a nearly never changing price for new players to do a bit of mining before leaving Nexus.

Someone had the bright idea to chuck 3 accounts worth of MFM slaves through nexus to sell to all the bases.

Not f2ps. P2ps. Leviathan and Selen slaves were cruising into those bases.

Augmenters have EXTREMELY low chance of dropping in the nexus. I mean, I managed to obtain 5 Minor Condensors before I even got a minor aug while rumbling through for the stupid translator droid.

The better question is if combat slaves can be allowed and not trade slaves.

I thought about this too. But I figure that it has to do with the server unable to tell the difference between combat and trade.

That, and do we really want to see the nexus clogged with 90 swarms?

yes

But a reply to a balance issue, no there is no balance issue, if a noob like me can do it on my level 20 alt, so should you (Isn't there a mission for the Zobitan Beam?), and i miss Radexing Zobitan.
