A galaxy off some random point in Warp 2 EF Space. Contains an AI base for a series of DC-related missions. Also contains a mid-tech boss room for Capital Ship Users.

Uber: Hank Darkstar, alleged leader of DC, Inc.

Pilots a T16 Capital Ship called the Dark Battleship, which deploys a wave of Dark Fighters (6) periodically, uses a pair of Dark Fists and Dark Lasers (Full-Tracking Rad Beams(Capship locked))

Guards: Dark Guards (4), Dark Nephil (2)

Loot:

1. Dark Battleship BP
2. Dark Laser
2a. Heavy Dark Laser BP
3. Dark Merchant Battery
4. Dark Merchant Protection
5. Dark Interceptor BP (fighter)
6. Dark Missile Mobile Factory BP (Mini-Vortex + Heat Damage missiles, both stats fairly weak compared to Plasma/Vortex stats)

Note: Dark Commerce is a shady bunch of merchants. See Loan Sharks and the like. They're not particularly liked by Earthforce and Earth Force, but both cannot catch any dirt on them.

Periodically(like, once every 6-12 hours), a convoy of Dark Merchant teamed ships will depart. They're considered a roaming uber, bring more or less the same firepower as Marco or Sputty to the table.

Just make DC more common. Don't need those things

Why would the leader of DC use a T16 ship while the Dark Transports use T20?

Dark Transports are not tech 20.

Ah, T17 then.

Still doesn't make sense though. :mrgreen:

@Comb

More ubers mean more content. The game is skewed towards doing high level content as early as possible. The problem? Most people don't actually get to T20 or T21 by the levels shown.

So, they either get "uber" quickly and be a noob or bored and quit. Best way to prevent that is to increase the level needed for certain benchmarks, and fill the holes with tons and tons of content.

If theres content, the levels can be increased. If the levels are increased before content, a lot of people feel cheated and either quit, or are more likely to quit.

@Stabberz

Dark Commerce are merchants, just dark merchants. It doesn't mean they're evil like the Nazis, but it does means certain people don't like their usually legal activities.

Loan Sharks are legal. You can loan money and charge outrageous fees and interest. Not many are going to like you, though.

So I suggest giving them a home galaxy. A place to set up shop. And since Dark Commerce use convoys of freighters equipped with "artillery" as Jeff_L has put it, and fighters like a FC, they can be capital ship content for mid game players.

---------------

I also would like to add that if such thing goes in, a mission or series of missions for a seer ship, the Dark Vanguard, can be added for a mid to uber powerpoint ship of T16/T17 level 300-600 seers to obtain and use.

But this part requires the suggestion to be in first.

I must say I have noticed the amount of high level players with a distinct lack of SS knowledge. I think it has something to do with no f2p lvl limit. I learnt so much as a lvl 20 f2p. It was all about using your sp to the best benefit and thinking up setups that did the best... whatever it was you were aiming for. Now its just upgrade to whatever is cheapest and does enough dps to keep levelling.

Fuck Ubers, we need actual AIs. The Big Green Mothership is one of the most funnest AIs to kill in the game, I hate it being an uber, i wish it was a normal roaming AI like a GB. Thats the kind of shit we need, I am getting bored of ubers being added in and not enough AIs.

Ok so Hawks were added in, theres hardly any around. and when you see one, its gone in almost an instant. Less ubers, more AIs. Especially in perilous space. If I see 1 more new uber roaming Perilous Space before a new, dangerous AI, I will call the police.

My next project is doing the same for Wild / Perilous that I did for EF layer.

All the reconditioned ships are cappable ~ some may be over-hulled + require capacity augs / other capping tricks, however.

The EF captials, for obvious reasons, are not.

Just turn the Big Green Mothership into a common roaming AI instead of an uber D: They are so fun!

Reconditioned levis and massifs both give me a "hull is uncapturable" message
