New mission available at level 1000 at gunner base in Lyceum.

So the story is that the scientists at Lyceum have found weaknesses in the Olympus pretenders. They've created missile generators that create missiles loaded with nanomites specifically designed to attack each Olympus uber's weakness or debuff their strength.

There is one missile generator for each oly über. missiles only generate in Olympus due to the radiation necessary to power the devices. All missiles are neurobound and dissolve upon warping.

Each missile will be small and light with medium speed

For pretender Zeus the missiles are designed to do massive DPH but have a slow respawn. They also cut his damage greatly. Generator only generates up to 5 at a time.

For Poseidon the missiles are designed to do medium damage and act like fighters. When a missile is launched multiple missiles will come out  the missiles will find targets starting with the selected target (if one exists). The missiles do not require a target to launch. The generator has about a one minute spawn time. Only 3 missiles allowed on ship at a time.

For ares the missiles will launch and attack his shield regen. They do medium damage. But cut his shield capacity and regen greatly. The nanomites only last for about 30 seconds. The missiles have a spawn time of about 1 minute. Only one allowed in ship at a time.

You get the picture. The missiles attack some annoying aspect of the Olympus über. Each missile generator can be obtained through a series of missions. Like "we need a sample of the radiation in Olympus go explore the entrance so we can collect some" then they need metals, nukes, prom, and titanium sheets to build the generators.

Expand on this. Just an idea.

I think the effects you suggest are too powerful, especially the Zeus one. However, it sounds like a cool idea. On the other hand, Gunner is already viable as a secondary role in Olympus, similar to SD, Seer, and FC. Perhaps it would be best to improve the class for all content instead of tweaking it for Olympus only.

The class as a whole needs fixin', not just in oly.

This suggestion won't fix any of the other billion gunner problems.

Issue I see is that if current Gunner stats are beefed into usefulness it will be pretty broken.

I like the idea of making gunner more oly acceptable, but the whole class needs a fix tbh.

FC's already have auras that make them accepted in most oly runs, and SD's are considered useful, its mainly Gunner and Seer that are oly'less. Also it would make things a lot easier if they up'd the max amount of people allowed in a squad but that's a different story completely...

No, it wouldn't. That would only be the case if you were on a team-run, in which they want as many people as possible for Shard-Kills. However, since you've posted in other topics that 'Even EF struggles to get a full run together' - That you'd be going on all-chat runs.

Now, riddle me this: If you're useless on a run at the moment, why would they want to take you if they could fit more people, even though most oly runs consist for 5-6 players, sometimes lower. You're just deadweight and another person to share loot run.

Fail? You do.

We have found good use for both Seer and Gunner on Oly runs, Camsy.

Yes, a use. However they can easily be replaced by another class and the run go a lot smoother and quicker.

Aye, -20% resists is cool, but another sniper would add more overall DPS and flexibility to the run.

It would be cool if gunners had almost as much DPS as zerkers, except with debuffs from their main weapons and missiles on top of that. Plus, y'know, the cost of missiles and all.
