StarSonata client 2 work on wine, but require a patch (which will go live 2/1/2012 11pm east) The installation should work out of the box. Patchbot used to be slow on wine, but i fixed the problem and now it run at a very acceptable speed. Once installed, it seem to depend on your setup as to will you need to do some more work or not. If you see big graphic artifact (black square on top of your ship when you thrust to only name one), or simply have a black screen. Then youll have to work a bit more. In my tests, i followed this tutorial "http://www.dedoimedo.com/games/wine-directx.html" as to install directx 9.0c (june 2010) into the wine configuration. Once that is done, the game should run very close (if not faster) than it did on windows (in my case, it was faster by an average of 15% on all 10 uni text machines.). |

Thanks for this. I just installed ubuntu on my netbook over my hackintosh installation and I wanted to be able to run SS in linux. I'll be trying this out this evening. I got SS working on the mac but Linux > Mac so... yeah.  |

i just installed it on mac os snow leopard, it works quite good. some things arent working, but u can play. Just wanted to inform, that i cant see the Drones and the Tractor tab in AI stations and in normal bases. |

I'm having an isue with this... I have SS installed it runs keyboard works installed. Everything works fine except my framerate is at 1.... Which makes it practically unplayable I'm running a dual core 1.5 ghz pros with 3 gigs of ram.. And I need to check out my graphics card when I get back on my lap top but I know it's geforce... Idk what to do everything finally works but the framerate is still stuck at 1 |

As the screenshot shows in the all tab, there are drones and energy for sale, but no tab for them. Any input on this Jey123456? Otherwise it works perfectly  .
