So, you are an Engineer? Welcome to the world of possibilities. You are allowed to dream, because no dream is too far away as an Engineer. Want to kill 2-3 Berserkers at once? Sure, no problems. Want to make several Speed Demons flee the galaxy because they know death is inevitable? The chances are there.

Here are a few things you need.

Controllers: The best Engineers have several.

Sup Shield Drone Controller: There is no better thing to turn on when you know you face a class with a lot of burst DPS.

Sup Firing Drone Controller: If you have DR5, which I guess you do, you can use these with ease, and turn your Engineer into a scary DPS-Monster of epic dimensions.

Sup Range Drone Controller: Speed Demons flying 3-4k distance away from you? Turn it on, put a few BFDs, and watch Stygian Fists eat up those Speed Demons!

Sup Radar Drone Controller: Afraid there are Seers/stealthy Snipers around? Use this, combined with BFDs/Infernoes/Hephaestus Drones. Underestimated by most Engineers.

Sup Electric Drone Controller: This is a PvAI Drone Controller for those who lack DR5. Dont do it!

Right. Next topic.

Combine aspects.

There is no better thing than a player who combine game aspects. Combine grem, tractors, speed/agility, healing, DPS, radar and slaves. You will become invulnerable. Any Engineer who does not carry Mobile Grem Boxes can forget about calling himself an Engineer. I will not type out any more here.

Now, for the drones. Here is a list that might inspire you. Note: This is a PvP list.

5 Armada Charge Drones
6 Armada Inferno Drones
2 Bubble Drones
5 Mobile Grem Boxes
2 Disruptor Z Drones
6 Armada Ambush Drones (Dont have DR5? Forget it!)
6 BFD 9000 Drones
6 Hephaestus Drones (Dont worry if you cant use them, you are not missing out on anything special)

Now. This is the sets I normally use for fighting different classes:

Berserker: 4 Infernoes 1 Charge 1 Mobile Grem Box
Fleet Commander: 4 Infernoes 1 Charge 1 Bubble Drone
Speed Demon: 3 BFD 9000, 1 Charge, 1 Mobile Grem Box, 1 Hephaestus Drone
Seer: 3 BFD 9000 Drone, 1 Charge, 1 Armada Inferno Drone, 1 Mobile Grem Box
Sniper: 3 BFD 9000 Drone, 1 Charge, 1 Armada Inferno Drone, 1 Bubble Drone
Gunner: 6 Armada Inferno Drones. No seriously. 6 Armada Inferno Drones.
Shield Monkey: 6 Armada Inferno Drones. No questions needed.
Engineer: 4 Armada Inferno Drones, 1 Charge, 1 Mobile Grem Box.

Engineer is the best class in game, that is all.

Would you care to explain why you choose the specific drone loadouts you do? For a nooby engineer.

Also, what do heph drones do? They sound fun.

Berserker: 4 Infernoes 1 Charge 1 Mobile Grem Box

Because Inferno Drones are awesome tanks, and a Berserker is mainly nothing when you grem him and combine it with a tractor beam. Also, fires works wonders on Berserkers (from the Lion Breaths) as he normally has a stopshield and no charger.

Fleet Commander: 4 Infernoes 1 Charge 1 Bubble Drone

Most Fleet Commanders use capital ships, and no etheral damage. Bubble drones are awesome tanks.

Speed Demon: 3 BFD 9000, 1 Charge, 1 Mobile Grem Box, 1 Hephaestus Drone

Speed Demons do not carry any volitile diffusers. With a Range Controller you can reach 3,5k range on BFDs and 1,5k range roughly on Grem Boxes. Hephaestus Drones bites the Speed Demons who try to dodge.

Seer: 3 BFD 9000 Drone, 1 Charge, 1 Armada Inferno Drone, 1 Mobile Grem Box

Seer´s do not like BFDs, 1 Armada Inferno Drone to put fires on them and leaves beutiful trails, and a Grem Box to give them a hard time trying to hit you with any non-full-tracking weapon.

Sniper: 3 BFD 9000 Drone, 1 Charge, 1 Armada Inferno Drone, 1 Bubble Drone

Sniper are pesky, they hurt. They do not like Armada Inferno Drones, tho, for same reasons as Seers. BFDs normally see Snipers at 3,5k range+. Bubble Drone is to force them to use etheral weapons.

Gunner: 6 Armada Inferno Drones. No seriously. 6 Armada Inferno Drones.

Gunner´s don´t do much DPS, as the drones normally kill their missiles, and leave them shattered to pieces in seconds. They also lack range, so they are relying on almost sitting on top of you to do some serious DPS.

Shield Monkey: 6 Armada Inferno Drones. No questions needed.

Shield Monkeys, same as Gunner, but if they have slaves, use the same as for Berserkers.

Engineer: 4 Armada Inferno Drones, 1 Charge, 1 Mobile Grem Box.

Engineers always, note the always, carry volitiles. Therefore, trying to have a push/pull fight with BFDs is worthless. Just replace your Armada Charge when needed, and once an Engineer get´s stuck inside the range of the Grem Box, you pull him and let the Infernoes do the rest. But fighting other Engineers is tricky tho. Tricky!

And why Hephaestus Drones? Because they look like asteroids.

ever tested mobile drones out? i have been waiting for a seer to attack me to test out the radar capabilities of santa's red tricks (heat dmg).

granted infernoes are probably better but the size is nice and it's mobile which can have advantages when you're pursuing a seer at times or is sitting right on top of you to prevent you dropping bigger drones.

santa's blue tricks only dps crappy seers i've found although they do indicate a general direction they are pretty well.

Yes there is: 2 Off, 1 Gen Mastery. That is the best PvP set-up & make sure you have a Rhino Roar & a Holy Ward, if you don't then your Engi is going to suck at PvP

Why don't you tell that to all the engineers I have defeated, you don't need high bank if you have charges, kiba I believe has the same set-up but I have better gear.

Btw Augs only make up 20-30% of your strength the rest depends on your irems and skills. FACT
