Leveling as FC to endgame is done. I still need your help though!
Link: http://wiki.starsonata.com/index.php/The_Comprehensive_Star_Sonata_Guide

Official Stats: 6.5k words, 4 hours spent editing, and about 25% done...

Still Needing Completion:

-Grammar Nazi-ing

-Fixing links to nonexistant pages (Simon did this already, thanks Simon!)

-Leveling information for other classes, either give helpful information to me so I can write a small guide or write it yourself and PM it to me/ post here

-More information on Colony Pumping (I'll update)

-Uber AI (descriptions/ techniques)

-Squad setups

-Endgame aug setups for FC EFDN

Colony pumping: Acquire Peasants, sell to one colony cheap. Wait and twiddle thumbs. Acquire more colonies, buy peasants from the first, sell to the rest.
???
PROFIT!

If you spent that much work on your account you wouldn't bear to leave it unsubbed so damn long, bitch.

I'll do a seer leveling guide as I leveled Pasta from 100-450 as a seer.

Also: Its blacker2359 not blacker233...................

When I get a sub I shall kill you for that.

Alright the guide for the classes are extremely biased. its all "DO NOT PICK THIS PICK FC". After every class. Let people pick around and see what they like. That's one of the best parts in the game. Makes it unique. If we have all noobs thinking the only good class in the game is FC and the class is very boring. Then newbies will think the game is boring and leave. My cousin did this. /endrant

You should find points about what would be topics, and write up as many *good* high quality guides as possible for said topics.

Then, you ask other people to write in their own guides for as many subjects noted in the *whole* guide as possible.

Next, a group of players who did *not* write any guide would get together and decide which ones are the best in terms of:
-Readability
-Content
-Helpfulness
-New Player Perspective

Someone should make a literally complete SS guide. Incorporating Trade skills, leveling(as all classes), low/mid/end game gear lists(for all classes), in depth AI analysis of all ubers and other niscellaneous AI and how to combat them, standard squad setups, class roles for team oriented ubers, base building, colony building, ruins, ruin skills, ships at low/mid/endgame, prominent missions/mission chains, etc..

It would be awesome. I may start on one for shits and giggles, however, as there are many classes I am unfamiliar with at low levels as well as colonies period I would need assistance.

Edit: So essentially, put the wiki into guide format.

Edit: So basically stealing my idea?

The guide isn't done, Shawn. I still have alot to go, and I'm not going to pass over Bases, etc.

Again, I have low experience with higher features of the game. Since my guide is already established and has a good basis, why don't we work together on a guide?

Not only you, but maybe even the entire SS community. That's what I'm envisioning...

Well not theft of an idea, so much as it is furtherance. While this is at the moment the most comprehensive what I was referring to was something on level with the strategy guides they sell in stores for games with multi-million dollar production budgets. I'm not averse to helping produce such a guide and could do the entirety of the Gunner, Engineer, Seer, Sniper, Fleet Commander, and Monk class essentially on my own(I would completely ignore the existence of capships within the gunner class though). As well as many other aspects such as AIs and Ubers, and building(to an extent), and ships.

We would have to worry about minor nerfs and changes making the guide totally obsolete after all the effort to make it though.

However, there IS an entire community of people out there to help us maintain it, even if it's just a small change to technique

Please, since you seem so driven, at least post bullet points on leveling with each class. If you can make a guide do so, and I'll revise it as I see fit (Links, Grammar Nazing, etc.)

Thanks in advance!
