And yet, if you grow hemp nowadays, you can get busted(Heavily regulated super big name or super small companies don't count) for possession. I can see why, though. It's a very very lucrative market, seeing how the US imports a fucking ton of it from China, NK, EU, and Chile. One could slip past the tariffs on imported goods and save a bundle, while providing a product for at least a dozen industries, from a plant that does not need much pesticide or herbicide, and can be grown in every state but Hawaii. The plant is hardy, and produces a lot of harvest-able material per hectare. In other words, a single company could dominate, if not monopolize, several industries in the US. Industries like Plastic, Omega-3 production, Fiber, Clothing, Paper, and Automobile Fuel. I'm sure corporations like BP, Shell, and Exxon would hate it to see the US market dry up if someone started to grow hemp fields to fuel entire cities' worth of cars. |

I don't smoke marijuana and don't agree with doing so. However, even I can see that legalization is the only logical step. It eliminates all marijuana related crimes(because drug dealers aren't half as bad ass as Wal-Mart), and it allows us to exploit hemp as the miracle crop it is. So yeah, illegalize alcohol or legalize marijuana, because they do the exact same thing with the distinct difference that I cannot efficiently run an entire city on alcohol. Though now that I think about it, it would be pretty entertaining to see what happened in a city that literally ran on alcohol. "Hey guys, let's go siphon the fuel out of all the cars in the parking lot and get smashed!" A city only pr0mmy could love... Oh by the way, this topic is know longer about ELITE. It is about marijuana now. ELITE you have 48 hours to vacate the premises, you have been evicted. |
