For all that would like to know who we are and what we are about, here is our Team Charter. All Oblivion members (and potential members) should read, understand, and agree with every part of this document.
Legal System (Team Rules):
-Decisions made by the Leadership are final, do not argue with these decisions regardless of the topic.(1)
-No Scamming, Stealing (this includes slaving commods without permission), Lieing, or Deception of any kind.(3)
-Do not talk shit to anyone, in team or otherwise, for any reason.(1)
-Team designated bases and any items on them are for use by operators and higher only. They are not to be used by or sold to anyone not operator or higher on the team without express permission from the leadership.(2)
-Do not attack any team member or their possessions without permission.(2)
-Do not kill any slaves, bases or drones, in team or otherwise, except during war-times.(2-3)
-No Begging, on any chat, this includes asking for loans.(1)
-Do not do anything that would make the team or any of our members look bad.(1-2)
The number in parentheses denotes severity. The typical penalties are as follows.
(1) - 3 Strikes, Strike 1: Warning, Strike 2: Demotion, Strike 3: Dismissal from the team (boot)
(2) - 2 Strikes, No Warning, Strike 1: Demotion, Strike 2: Dismissal
(3) - No Strikes or Warnings. Instant Dismissal without question.
As with any rules, there are exceptions. These exceptions are to be determined by the Leadership as necessary at their discretion. These rules may change at any time. It is the responsibility of each member to keep up to date on the team rules, ignorance is no excuse.
Intergalactic Relations (Political Position):
-Anyone who has any problems with any member of Oblivion should contact me directly.
-We will always attempt to resolve any issues in non-violent and respectful manner before resorting to more aggressive means.
-Oblivion is not part of any political alliance, and will remain that way.
-If there is a problem that needs to be brought to the leaderships attention, that requires action by the leadership, please include evidence that supports your claim if you would like action to be taken. Claims with no evidence may be ignored, at the leaderships discretion.
-All Oblivion members are to stay out of any political or war situation that does not directly involve our team. If someone suspects an Oblivion member of working against them in a political or war related incident, the Oblivion member is to leave immediately to avoid any further confusion.
Rules of Engagement (non-war PvP):
-We are not an actively PvP team, and will not attack anyone without provocation or permission.
-If a member of my team cannot mark someone due to rank, they cannot PvP outside of the Arena.
-Friendly, consensual PvP is allowed and encouraged for everyone who is high enough rank to mark as friend.
-Pods are off limits. Killing a pod will carry a level 2 penalty.
-Treat your opponent with respect.
These rules are for my team to follow when it concerns PvP actions.
Application for Service (Recruitment Policy):
-We are a small team, with intentions to stay that way, therefor, we may refuse any application to the team without reason at any time, even if you meet the requirements to join.
-You must be a minimum of level 250 to be considered for an invite.
-Immature people need not apply, as you will likely be booted during your probationary period.
-Anyone with a rank of Peon is a Probationary Member, meaning you are not yet a full member of the team. We use this time to determine maturity and integrity of the people we recruit. During this Probationary Period, you may be booted from the team without explanation, and you receive no warning for infractions that carry a low (1) severity level. That being said, we will usually give you a reason if you are booted for any reason. Once we have determined that you are the kind of person we want to have on the team, you will be promoted to Soldier and be a full fledged member of Oblivion.
