External Ablative Armor build time is totally messed up.

I'm building 250 External Ablative Armor on my production base that has 96K workers and they are taking way too long to build.

Build: 250
Max workforce: 100 (ea)
Workers needed to minimize build time: 25,000 of 96,000
Manhours to build: 216,000
Completion time: 2,160 SS hours with my workforce NOT 10+ weeks real time!
I started the build ~2 weeks ago and it is only at 22%

And YES I have other projects building on the base ... 9 and all with Max workforces of 10 ea.

And NO the External Ablative Armor build is NOT requesting additional materials as all were provided prior to build start.

this is the way ablatives are designed, you must build a couple at a time.

this is stop early ablative build spam. building 250 at once good luck if they finished before end of uni

what topbuzz said. they were designed to build in batches only so that they could not be spam built immediately upon laying a base.

Have you two been going to farmer Brown's university? I've not seen so much BS since I visited a dairy.

There is absolutely NOTHING in the build info to indicate that you'll be FUCKED if you build more than one at a time. Or that its a max workforce for all items in a batch.

The way I read the info is 100 workers max per item being built and building 250 at a time should require 100x250 workers or 25000 workers and that the job should finish in 2160 SS hrs if you have the full workforce.

There is simply no sane reason to not allow the items to be built in parallel on a single production base.

So yeah... as far as I'm concerned its a F'ing BUG!

I agree it should say something in the bp about it, but I know about it cos I read patch notes. This was done for a sane reason which everyone contributed to a very long winded thread about it...

so don't say there is no sane reason because you obviously missed the big debate on it...i think it was in response to LC making a tough gal that torchwood dps base couldnt break

Like I said... absolutely no sane reason... just someone crying that they couldn't blow up a base because a base builder did something smart.

Gee guys would you mind nurfing Alby so I can kill it using my level ZERO Zebu with its Ion Peashooter that I've just got on my new level ZERO alt. Let see now ... level ZERO char kills Alby instant level 1K. Or even better would you mind beefing the shield on my Zebu so it can take an Anni Superlaser and spit it back without taking any damage. Oh yeah! Please nurf the FUZ! I owe them big time. And I also want to take out AI bases ... there's no reason that they should be impervious ... they're just bases after all, and just think of all of the goodies they'd drop when they blow.

So let me get this straight... If I build 20 ablatives at once, the group will have a max workforce of 100

But if I build 20 sets of one ablative, they will each have 100 workforce?

But didn't AEM said a 1-use bp that builds 10 in one go, like a crate, and unpacks them as soon as it hits 100%?

I really don't see how multibuilding 100 is different than building 100 one at a time. If you just remove the multibuild discount for ablatives(if they even have one), there should be no problem with allowing a normal workforce.

HEY RETARD DEV!

Quit FUCKING with things that you don't understand!

IF you really need advice on this then IN the future make it so the F'ing things are built directly onto the F'ing BASE and set a limit on the number that a base can build based on the base's tech level, and once the maximum EAAs are built for that base have the info box's print and the BP in the construction list turn grey and when a player clicks on the greyed out line they'er told the no more of this item can be built on this base.. (As it is NOW they pop out of construction just like any other dampener that you need to equip.)

In the mean time I want the 250 that I started to pop out finished NOW! So I can put them on my bases. (There is nothing in the current build info that restricts the moving of the EAAs from one base to another.)
