This isn't effecting pos or anything, but that might be because it seems to shoot multiple beams at each target, but Other AoE weapons such as the C-beam and its compatriots dont seem to AoE more than, say, 1/4th of the time. If this is intentional, it should at least say so in the description, along with a % chance of AoEing. If it's not intetional, fix please.

oh, didnt see this post. I just posted something about the splash hitting the initial target, but what you say is true as well. Although you need to make sure the targets are enemies

You mentioned the 'Greater Vortex Laser';

I put those on my BST slaves (MF x 11) and did some DGs - so that all possible ankle & range issues are covered, result:

No splash effect at all. To me atm the 'Splash damage' does not work at all.

The 'Heavy Laser' does work. But the tracking and range limitations are just awefull making it useless.

btw - what does AoE stand for (I thought you meant Art of Engineering when I saw your post first)?

AoE stands for Arena of Effect, basically weapon that damages more then 1 target.

But to answer your post, yes that seems to be correct; on chain lasers the limitations of their chaining seem to make them useless unless you have way high tracking, while splash lasers have such limited splash distance, the fact that they dont in fact splash is just the icing on the cake.

Heavy laser seems to go thrue the traget to the next wille Cbeam only bounce back to targets who aint behind the original target
