Post Re: Beta client version 182 (lastest)
Imra send me the dmp it generated. should be easy to fix.

And bonecrusher. what are you on about ? There is no specified minimum download speed because there is no such thing. The bandwith plain simply depend on whats going on in the galaxy your in. It goes from less than 100b/sec to over 100kb/sec in bursts.

But yet again, usually the bursts are stuff that doesnt matter if they are delayed a few secs (map, tradebay list, possession list etc). So all in all, you can play on any connection. But having an higher connection help when there is a lot transfering. (offcourse i would strongly recommend aggainst playing anything lower than dsl/cable. Dialup while usable, Is not exactly good as far as stable ping and constant data stream goes.

When I was having trouble with my ISP and the DL speed was going from piss pore to worse SS became totally unplayable due to the huge lag spikes.

Not everything is handled by the client... a lot of what goes on needs to be updated from your servers or you DIE a horrible death if you are fighting.

actually, basically nothing is handled on the client bonecrusher. But even slow bandwidth (so long as its stable), is enough because the high priority data (the one you need to live), is quite small and sent in priority.

So if anything, you need a stable connection (speed doesnt matter that much, so long as its a stable speed).

Version 182.744 is out. Unless more bugs are left to fix, this will be the final version before live update.

Also please if there is any issue in the beta client that are not on live, post them IN THIS THREAD.

I suggest including the .dmp email address in the crash popup. You'd probably get a lot more that way.

You'd get even more if you made the crash dump auto send an option in the PATCHBOT.

Automatically send crash dump files to Star Sonata? Yes [ ] , No [ ]

no crash. but my ai trade bay is strange...all 80 precent white. the problem persisted when I went back to production client. I had to revert back to a saved copy of the content folder.

Klade, that's because you installed the beta client files that change how that part of the window looks.
