I am Trumpet Girl, but I go by TG mostly.

I don't really play trumpet anymore, but at one time I was actually a pretty decent musician. I'm an elementary school band director at the moment, although I'm getting a computer science degree and will most likely be changing careers soon.

My ShM is I Remember Clifford. No, this is not a reference to the big red dog. Clifford Brown is one of my favorite trumpet players, and this is a reference to him.

Sir Starship is my FC (hopefully to be changing classes soon to I'm not sure what). He's named after my stuffed animal collection. They're all sir something of the roundtable. (Sir cat, sir dog, etc.)

Dat Dere I just use for trade slaves atm. This is named for my favorite song (check out Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers from the album The Big Beat).

LazrGoose was intended to be my main, but within a month after I started playing, got utterly destroyed by Lajeah and I haven't bothered to fix her up yet.

I am director of Psionic Corps and have been part of this team since it's formation almost 3 years ago. We've had our ups and downs, and had a lot of fun. We're recruiting again!

I'm married and have a one year old daughter. Here's all of us:

I remember that conversation
Oh by the way, want to explain the hilarity behind why your husband can't post on forums?
Anyway, nice to see everyones getting a bio up. I didn't realize you were opting for a career change though, thought it was an interest project.

Her husband's account's username also happens to be his RL name. He doesn't want that info out.

Oh wow. You know you could link music + computer science in so many interesting ways. I'm pretty sure it was one of my professors here that was talking about joint research with computer science and music. Oh and you teach? Music + teaching AND you're studying CS? You've just become the coolest person on SS.

Also, the amount of cute in that picture is overwhelming. I can't handle it. XD

-_- Churchill....he posts on -phonon- and I guarantee, that's not our name.

Bageese - if Coda or Sibelius (creators of all sorts of interesting music education technology) ever comes knocking at my door and offering me a job, I'd be really happy. Unfortunately this is not likely because one is based in Minneapolis and the other is in London. Still, I can dream.

By the way, I'm not switching careers because I don't like being a band director. There's just too much other stuff that goes along with it (budget cuts, paperwork, never having enough instruments for everyone, teaching in a closet/ stage/ hallway, hours of commuting between schools that aren't remotely close together). I'm just ready for a job in which I don't feel like I'm fighting an uphill battle all the way.

There were a bunch of TI profs in my old university that were part of a barbershop quartet.

Nice to finally see a picture of you that I don't have to squint real close and earn headache just to get a faint outline.
