If I'm doing some content with a healer present, I invite you to PvP me. I figure if my squad dies, we'll be healed up and ready to go in a few minutes anyway. I intend to keep the combat localized and not issue any KOS orders afterwards. Where does the vague part come in, you ask? If I think you're being a douche, or you stick around killing me repeatedly, or (let's face it) I'm having a bad day, maybe I'll forget all about this pledge and get us all into some unpleasantness. But if you think you are a reasonable person, come shoot me and see whether you find me reasonable too. What's the point of this post? I'd like to see a more informal PvP culture without diplomatic strings attached, and I'm going to start with myself. That means no long list of rules, no vendettas, and no camping Lyceum waiting for someone to show their face. /commence -- For those who don't know, my alts are as follows. enkelin maziwa elessar chimera iluvatar |

You want pvp and a harder game, break off from you're large teams/alliances and form your own. You think Thermal gives a fuck about political circumstance? He can do and war whoever the fuck hes want to. Do what hes done if thats the game you want to play. If you want uber runs and political dogma, stay where you are. You can't play both. Aint gonn' fuckin' appen! |

Aint gonn' fuckin' appen! I am doing the opposite of warmongering. I'm not interested in long drawn-out KOSes or bad blood. Plenty of people will confirm that I'm not even particularly interested in PvP. I'm just tired of sorting out the messes that people make when someone shoots someone else, and I'm starting with myself. We are all aware that PvP pacts don't work. You can't codify the rules of engagement. My thesis is simple: assuming a baseline level of civility among players, ad hoc PvP can take place without hurt feelings. I intend to test this claim with anyone who chooses to test it with me. |
